Shoreline Management Plan:
We have a consulting firm from Maine and
fewer than twenty-five Grand Lakers developing a Shoreline Management Plan
which will impact the privileges we enjoy on Grand Lake for years to come.
Will your little piece of heaven here on
Grand Lake be declared wetlands? the plan will address allowable use. It
will define how the shoreline can be used. Will I be able to have a dock?
If my dock is destroyed by a storm, will I be able to replace it?
Will, as has been whispered, Duck Creek and
Monkey Island be prohibited from adding any additional docks under the
plan? And finally, could restrictions of both size and slip numbers be
included in the plan? Will the number of boats which can frequent Dripping
Springs, Party Cove and Woodard Hollow be limited? How many of us will be
allowed in Duck Creek for the annual fireworks show?
